I don't agree. I was very frustrated with the iPhone when I had one and promptly switched to an Android phone.
I used all sorts of Treo phones for years before the iPhone came out. I switched to an early version of Windows Phone (Treo 800) because they delayed the new version of PalmOS. Next was another Windows phone (HTC), then Apple 4S, then to Samsung 4 and I've never looked back...
I've used Android Tablets, starting with a rooted Nook. Having file system access and being able to access my network drives with the phones and tablets is essential.
