Thanks for the advice.

The plaque on the glovebox says 172 out of 1500, but unfortunately the interior generally has gone.
It's ideal for me, as it's pretty solid and will be a great project I won't have to fret about ruining a good car.

Getting to pick it up on Monday evening now, after an issue with the haulage truck.

Turns out the car is being sold as part of an estate. An estate that included 6 aircooled Porches!

The first one sold was a '72 Coupe. It had been covered by three tarpaulins for about 15 years and the floor was done for and engine gone. They sold it for (and hold onto your hats for this) $2500. After that they realized what they were worth. There was a 69 that also was let go for a criminally low amount.

There are still two other cars stored for sale, but they aren't sure if they are going to sell both due to sentimental reasons. The first is an 89 C4. The one I'm hoping they show me more than just a few photos of is a 1970 which looks to have a few million boxes on it. Again, it hasn't moved since sometime around 2000 and so far have only dug the back end of the car out.

I don't know, maybe it's all a big scam, and when I go to pick up the majority of the '75 (which I stashed a bunch of parts in the trunk of my car as I paid a deposit) maybe the '75 will be gone and the rest just hot air... They met me with the '75 at a house that was for sale... I guess I will find out on Monday!
