i was working alone so every time i kept turning the crank then stopping to look through the bell housing i guess it just barely passed by but once i took the covers off and camshaft cover off and went really slow i was able to find it.
I read your post ID on your new to you 944 mines an 84 NA as well not in a good of shape as yours lol But i'm in the same process as you replacing the important stuff so i can get her on the road
