I have searched the forum and and found some information regarding turbo heat and bumper discoloration.

I think I have a couple of issues with my 1982 930 and the hot bumper issue. The heat shield has been removed...not sure how long ago but certainly before I took the car to Florida. Secondly, the Florida thing...hot summer down here...lots of heat no matter what.

So I'm not sure if there are slotted bumpers available or should I cut the slots myself to help dissipate the heat from the turbo and exhaust rather than cooking the paint off the bumper.

I have not confirmed my timing and air/fuel ratio yet but that is next as well.
