Hurricane resistant I can believe. Hurricane proof, nope.
A meter of rain, on top of a 12 foot storm surge with 145 MPH winds is going to be a challenge. It will depend on what that one spot his dock is on, and how well it really was engineered.
I hope he has good luck.
Last night they mentioned some building in one of the towns that had mandatory evacuations collapsed. There were people in the building, and the rescurers could not get to them. I hope the rescuers just stay safe until the storm has passed. It is stupid to risk their life trying to rescue people that were told to get the fu*k out of town. The mayor there said if you decide to stay, please write your name and SS number on your forearm with a sharpie so we can identify your body.
