We can argue all day long about modifying a car and what is acceptable and what is not in the eyes of others. Making the 928 better to be more enjoyable and reliable is not a bad thing. The reason there are so few 928's around is.....the cars were not all that great to begin with and that, is why the cars have fallen by the way side and are so inexpensive to buy.
Anyhow, I don't want the build thread to be about others disapproving of my choices on my build

It's your car do as you wish. But the 928 is really a great car, set the land speed record back in 1986 for stock production and was top of the Porsche line and most expensive at that time. It had many new features not found on other cars. The 911 crowd just did not like the fact it was a V8 front water cooled engine. It is reliable if you take care of it. It has great handling and enough power to get you in trouble. It is not a Vette, Ferrari, or BMW. It is not as fast but it is after all 30 years old. I even saw John Denver driving his 928 in Vail one time.
