Lost track of how much rain. My gauge only holds 6", I've emptied it twice and it was brim full both times and it is pouring at the moment. We've been under almost constant extreme tornado alerts since around 2 AM Saturday morning and are under one at the moment. This chit really gets old and no end in sight.

The real moment of truth for us is how high the Brazos crests maybe late Tuesday or Wednesday. Some areas of the watershed north of here have had 30+ inches.

Harris County and Houston city govts have request anyone with shallow draft boats or inflatables to please call, they need all the help they can get for high water rescues... apparently 1000's still stranded. This is truly a biblical proportion flood it seems.

One thing kind of strange: they keep telling people to not get into attics if house really floods, to get on to the roof. We keep wondering just how most people are supposed to get on their roof if there is 4-5' of water on the ground and no ladder ?? just wondering.
