CM has nothing to be ashamed of after tonight. He lasted 10 rounds w a world champion boxer and went out on his feet. Yes, he was about to be knocked out but still, an amazing performance that absolutely no one else in his sport could have pulled off, IMO. Major respect for the guy.  |
Right on on all counts. McGregor showed some real heart and never gave up. He would have fought 'til he dropped before he ran out of heart. Mayweather played it like the consummate pro facing an unknown commodity - cautious at first, but taking notes and adjusting on the fly until he had McGregor's number. Once Mayweather decided he had him figured out and it was time to go, it was over.
I would like to see McGregor pursue his boxing career a bit further. He might actually have a future in it...
