The 914 is a surprise. But then again its unbelievably low miles. I guarantee all his buddies are out searching for one with lower miles just to show him up.

But at the top of that link someone paid $1,017,000.00 for a basic restored 1951 356 1,500cc coupe. That makes the 914 look like a deal.

I guess it's the million and multi-million dollar cars that really get me thinking. I start to wonder if it's old money or stock option money being thrown around. I wonder how many people at that level are literally showing up with a line of credit acting like something they aren't. I just find myself curious about the type of person spending that amount on a car. Mainly because I've crossed paths with too many people over the years that acted like they were wealthy and smarter than everyone else. But as soon as things slowed down they were the first people to loose everything. Dotcom bomb and housing bubble had the same types of people faking it.

But we're now in the days where Billionaires are becoming the norm. You can make seven figures a year and in Monterey during the classics you'll feel poor.
