SouthWest didn't do my sons any favors. Traveling from Cancun with their wives and two infants and a two year old, Southwest went ahead and flew them into Hobby at 5PM Saturday, then decided that the flight to Dallas could not go. They then told them it might be Wednesday before they could get out, and that they couldn't run shuttles anywhere else for a place to stay. The airport did provide food and space blankets.
I guess I should modify my favors statement, as they did get the families with young children and older folks out late yesterday afternoon. Only a 24 hour layover!
Thank God that my kids did get back home with only that delay.
