After some research and recommendation from a knowledgeable friend, we stopped by the Armory on the way home and picked up a Sig Sauer P226 Legion chambered in 9mm with SRT, night sites, and a killer grip. Hope to get to the range in the next few days to put some inaugural rounds through her.

I have a Sig 220 that I have had for many years. Have put lots of .45 ACP rounds downrange with it! Only recently (about 2 yrs ago) did I realize that Sig makes a very nice .22 rimfire conversion for the 226, 229 and 220. They are very good quality, accurate and work well with few failures to feed, fire or eject. The conversion that I bought for my P220 has adjustable sights with the "2 bar" sighting picture. Magazines are fairly reasonable and cost about $35-40 each. The mags for the P220 hold 10 rds but can easily be modified to hold 13 rds. The P226 .22 mags come to hold 10 but can be modified to hold 15 rds. The conversion kits sell for around $250 and come with 1 mag in a nice hard case.
