I was very excited about this but turned off by the fan noise and its fluctuations after sitting next to it for a few hours. I would not be able to stand staying close to that unit and still be relaxed. It'd be ok if it was around the corner from the porch, but then you can't smell or see what's up!

Ya, I have to admit that the grill is quite noisy and smokey too, of course so I've placed mine off my deck but within sight and.....up wind too so that I can get a good wiff of what's cookin' once in awhile!
