We had a 74 Searay 240 in the late 80's. It was a great boat except for the OMC (oh my Christ) drive... dad rebuilt the engine in it and gave it a custom paint job and sold it for big money to a charter guy in the west coast of Vancouver island.
For a couple grand you could rebuild the engine in there. The great thing about these older sea rays is that they used no wood in the construction so no dry rot ever.
I'd take my newer jet boat (Seadoo Speedster) over this any day even if it isn't built any where near as good as your sea ray.
