Screen time is definitely a part of it but I think the bigger picture of our downfall is more WALL-E. Humanity shines most brightly in the face of challenge. I also think a key element to self-esteem is found in the physical, not just mental and emotional states. Technology that makes everything easy will drain the human spirit more than anything else.
