68000 miles. i think it was Lars first day on the job. Good advice..thanks. I have a local guy that teaches at a welding school that says he will do the job. Talk around town is he can weld ice. I also thought of just finding a donor car at sawing the tower off of it and welding that on as well. Actually I'm wondering what the cause was. The car is not lowered in the back, and has newer yellow Bilstien struts. however the car was sitting in heated storage for quite a few years and I may have a strut that is seized. It will only move up and down about 1/2" if you jump up and down in the rear trunk.
