Treating my 915 with some new parts and my pinion bearing race is spun, which is pretty normal in alu 915's i guess. Considering a Loctite solution, but I think there is too much play for this to last very long.
I know the right fix is offered by several companies in the US, but in Denmark, where I roll, I dont know any. Since the main shaft race is OK, I dont want to throw money after a very expensive "8" shaped machining job offered by a German company + shipping. Since I am on a budget, I just want to fix the pinion race.
Any experience with this bearing? A local machine shop should be able to insert this.
My original race does not have that outside groove though. Why is it there?
