Posit #3: We find a star that appears to be older than the Universe

Therefore, we must be failing at understanding the age of the Universe and/or the age of stars, because Posit #3 must be more robust than Posit #1 or #2.
Good, real science:
Therefore, we need to determine what happened to this star that makes it appear to be the wrong age, because a century of effort has shored up Posits #1 and #2 so well that they are all but a Law of Nature.
