My father died alone on May 1, 2017. He lived about 500 miles away from me and in the end he was alone. Very hard to take as I had to call the police to go check on him. I truly believe that the night before the police found him he visited me and told me to send someone to find his body.
I miss him every day. So many times I want to pick up the phone and call but then realize I cannot.
Crap, now I'm tearing up.
