They built quite a few turds. If you look at their production from the 1950s and 1960s, there were a number of cars that were considered too ugly to own. At least until everything with a V12 was deemed to be collectible... 30 or 40 years ago, you couldn't give some of them away, and many got cut up to be donors for various fake Ferraris.
Moving forward, the Dino never got much respect in its day, but they don't drive all that badly. At least the ones with a roof on them...
Speaking of roofs, the 308 GTS models drove like ****. A GTB was OK but cut the roof off and it turned into a complete turd, even when new. The worst of those were the two valve injected models. They were so lacking in power my mother's station wagon cut out-drag one. Ditto for the equivalent Mondial, which was the same ****ty idea with two more seats and a few hundred more pounds.
Moving on to the modern era, Ferrari didn't build a complete turd so much as they had cars with really ****ing bad idea as built into them. In the 80s you had electrical systems in the Testarossa and 348 that were subpar. The 348 had a terrible interior, the 355 had all sorts of engine problems and more interior problems. The 456 had windows that were beyond problematic. I could continue, but you get the point.
