Last Christmas my wife surprised me and my oldest son with Porsche driving experience gift coupons........she's a keeper

Today our schedules allowed doing the experience . Was a picture perfect day and our scheduled time slot was at 11:00 . We arrived two hours early so we could take in the facility before going on the track .
The museum has some very nice cars in it - 550 , 356 , 914 , Carrera GT , 918 Spyder , 911's etc. and some nice race cars. We swung by the restoration garage and one of the mechanics waved us in and gave us a tour . Wow nice restoration facility ! Spent some time in the gift shoppe , walked around the rest of the facility and then our buzzer went off we were up .
My son and I agreed on a 718 Cayman as I wanted to compare it to my Boxster and he wanted to try a mid engine . That four cylinder turbo has some balls with decent but not great sound . PDK tranmission was very impressive as were the brakes/grip . Launch control is a hoot ! Left foot on brake , mash the gas to 6K and GO !!! No tire slip just pushed forward . Handling was good as I expected , water skid pad was fun and the autocross cones I really enjoyed . Did some drifting and then the day was up . My son was very impressed with the car and so was I .
But I will say my Raby motor has more power and sounds so much better and in comparison my S is raw vs. the refined Cayman . It's funny that I think the S is raw coming from air cooled 914's + 911's . Overall it was a great way to kill a few hours , drive at some speed and burn up someone else's tires

I would recommend it to anyone .
