I drove a 2001 toyota tundra and loved it, not too big, just right. Almost sporty.
but the brakes sucked big time. they'd fade on a small hill and the rotors warped if you looked at them wrong. Other than that I loved it.
traded it in on a 2007 tundra, loved it but it ate front tires and turned into a bucking bronco on concrete freeways.

Sold it when I bought a furd F-150.
the furd is not built quite as well as the toyota, doesn't drive quite as well, doesn't do anything better than the toyota, but it doesn't do anything BADLY.
It works. It does it's job. I don't dislike it at all. But I ain't in love with it either.
Kinda comfortable but I keep thinking about buying something new.
Like an old girlfriend who is on the verge of over-staying her welcome.

The wife had a sienna a long time ago, great vehicle. Smooth, quiet, reliable and comfortable and practice transportation.
But she saw the new (then) honda pilot and just had to have one. it was fine.

5 years later she had to have a nissan murano, and realized what I had been telling her was true. the nissan was just a little bit less than the toyota. it was still good but not quite as good as the toyota. Little things.

So after driving the murano for 5 years she bought a new rav4.
Which BTW I HATE!

I'm not sure if it has badly tuned suspension, or if they put the loudest tires on it they could find, or if the internal shape has identical harmonic characteristics as a base drum. or is that bass drum?
But it is LOUD in that thing.

We took it to Ariz. a couple months ago, by the time we got home I had a huge headache and literally wanted to jump out of that car.
I told her we'll never take it on a trip again.

But she likes it, go figure.
