Hey! That's Bristol!

When I was a kid, we lived about about 4 miles from the track and could easily hear the races. I know most members here are not NASCAR fans but I am. I guess it just comes from being a car nut and growing up in east Tennessee. Something about driving 180mph (on most tracks, NOT Bristol) and playing bumper cars, I s'pose. Thunder Valley drag strip is the same location, just about an 1/8 mile to the right of the Appalachian Sasquatch in the pic . If you have not been to an NHRA Drag Race, it's like a travelling Mardi Gras! With some amazing cars to boot!!

And I DO NOT like the "Springer-like" pit antics of late. Keep it on the the track and they will police themselves.
