Just had one done by the pros they cleaned degreased. Ground -fillled cracks re ground. Epoxyed then put a poly urethane UV coating on top. Lots of grinding.
I would try it but the grinding is the key. This guy used some specialized grinder with a big vac I have no idea where you could rent one.
I have seen a lot of hanger floors done with success and failure.
The grind gives the profile that the epoxy can grip. Any oil or dirt the epoxy will lift.
