What on earth do you mean by "normal"?
It's an 12 y.o. car. Most people get a new car every few years, some as often as 2 years. Very, very few people keep a car for decades. You would be the freak in this story.
At any rate, it's irrelevant in judging a used car. It's a typical, *wrong question* that everyone asks about cars for sale. I've bought dozens of cars and I only care about the condition of the car. I don't care if it's had one owner or 10. And I see absolutely no correlation between one long time owner and great maintenance or condition. You want to buy a car that the last guy did all the expensive stuff to, even if he had it for 6 months.
I've also found that the reason someone is selling or that they are selling quickly after buying means nothing, usually. It is not always related to it being a "good car." Condition, records and your own PPI/due diligence are all that matters.
