Has anyone every tried to plumb two oil coolers in series?

I have a Turbotrol in the right front fender, and would like to add my old 18-tube Turbo oil cooler in the left front fender. I am aware that I'll have to remove the windshield washer bottle.

Has anyone ever tried this, and what success have you had? Do the temperatures drop at the track sufficiently to justify the work?

Would this arrangement be better or worse than just upgrading to the 1987 or later Carerra style radiator?..............Andras
