The Yost 750-DI that I mentioned in the first link is twice the price of those others because:
5 inch jaw opening
All 3 sets of jaws are removable/replaceable, and made from machined steel instead of molded iron
The swivel mechanism has locking teeth, so when you lock it down it will NOT rotate on you, unlike the cheaper ones that just use friction
The rotating jaws have a pin and lock system for positive detents, I don't think the cheaper ones have that
The vise is made of 60K tensile strength ductile iron, vs 25k-30k strength grey iron.
It also weighs about 20 pounds more...
I wouldn't spend $200 for it, but when it was $125...
