[QUOTE=93097004xx;9779754]Lol if the asking price is $130,000 then safe to say sale price is pretty high..
Also let me say that pelican is the WORST place to sell a aircooled porsche as
Also still a lot of push back from the folks that have been here for some time.
The folks that can’t seem to accept the fact the days of the $20,000 911 SC have came and gone years ago..
They need to realize that now days you could not even rebuild a 911 SC engine for $20,000.
Those aircooled should have never fell that far in the first place..
Why those folks don’t buy water cooled porsches and stop crying about the aircooled market.
Water cooled porsches are the way to go for the hobbyist from here forward.
Sorry but you are out of touch with reality. Pelican is a bad place to sell an overpriced turd most certainly, but a lot of buyers here are well informed, and much of that's thanks to the valuable contributions of folks who have "been here for some time"
At a recent dinner for some very respected people in the Porsche scene who've certainly been in the hobby for some time, a Sothebys rep who was hosting, and talked about how much push back they have gotten from buyers who purchased 930's in the crazy market and were now the reality has settled in are very disappointed.
"the hobbyist community here doesn’t have deep pockets that other venues or platforms have" Lasts time I looked Don Ahern still posts here, and unlike some of the other dealers mentioned in recent threads here Don and Porsport don't strike me as someone who would waste time on an unreceptive audience.
"you could not even rebuild a 911 SC engine for $20,000" ... Think before you throw out crass generalizations. Its idiotic statements like this, and your crap about water pumpers that show just how misinformed you are.
There is not enough information on the car to make a valued judgement on price. Perhaps you should go back to the world of deep pocketed people who are willing overpay for cars or engine rebuilds for that matter.
