They are actually not much bigger than a 997 or 996. A little wider. Most sports cars have gotten bigger in recent years and I'd still call it a sports car, especially compared to something like an Aston Martin or Maserati coupe, or whatever their competition is these days.
Responsiveness to all inputs is extreme and without slop, to put it mildly. Very enjoyable to pilot through city traffic and on and off the freeway. I'd love to push one in a canyon or at the track but I only got a short city test drive. I liked it but it's definitely a pretty big evolution from the earlier cars.
The track variants like the GT3 are probably quite raw. The 991.1 S I drove was just right in terms of refinement vs. raw, IMO. It was pretty refined but still a scalpel. You should drive one.
