Picked up a 2 in thick Rib Eye today.
Rubbed it with some fresh ground pepper, sea salt, a little garlic powder, and a sprinkling of chili powder. After letting it warm to room temp fired up the Smoker/Roaster/Grill with hickory, apple, and one charcoal briquette. As soon as I could smell the chips smoking turned the temp down and put the steak on the grill. Let it sizzle 5 minutes, twice per side, 20 minutes total. Got nice criss cross grill marks. Smeared butter on top and let it set covered while I smashed some taters with garlic and LOTs of butter and made a small dinner salad.
The steak was a perfect pink medium. It were absolutely freakin DELICIOUS tender and juicy! LOVE this Charbroil Smoker Roaster Grill!
Was going to take a picture, but since I am not one of those people that takes pictures of everything I eat and posts it on Facebook... I just ate it.
