82 SC. Got the engine out in order to fix massive vacuum leaks, check everything and do the "while you're in there list".
Followed Wayne's procedure and it worked out well. Here are a few things I encountered which might help someone else down the road:
If this hasn't been done on your car before, expect some fastener somewhere to be stuck or frozen...just saying'.
My main clutch arm assembly was stubborn. It is key to leverage the omega spring forward with a screwdriver to release tension while you lever the arm off.
I couldn't access the driver's side lower engine to tranny bolt without taking the clutch main arm assembly bracket off of the tranny. Easy once I did that.
The 10mm barrel nut above the starter was too tight a space to get an allen socket in, so I used a 10mm regular allen wrench with a drive extension over the end handle end for leverage.
I have an MSD installed so there were a few electrical connections I had to disconnect that were not in Wayne's instructions (coli wires for example). Also, the brake vacuum line.
I disconnected the engine from the tranny with the car virtually on the ground a few mm first which made it nice and easy. I then raised the body of the car for clearance and made the final yank. Very happy it went smoothly.
Now, about those vacuum leaks...
