the gearbox in the 944 is the same as the audi 5000. as far as gearboxes go this one is nearly indestructable.
people have mated them to v12 with great success.
as far as the supra engine goes, it is not a V6 it is a Inline 6 and may be too long. but take a measuring tape and compare the two blocks (944 and supra) you may find that it will fit in the 944.
some of the newer supra engines (particularaly the J-spec ones) come stock with lots of HP,m and would make a nice powerplant if you could make it work.
