With regards to Juan's post, these really aren't bad to work on. I did a major service on my 996TT, the only extra hassle is needing to pull the rear bumper cover and intercoolers to replace the spark plugs. Maybe an extra hour worth of straightforward work. It's really no bigger of a pain than doing an air cooled valve adjustment with the engine in the car.
