We used to have hundreds of kids showing up for trick or treat when we lived in a small farming town near nothing. The non-local vans would start rolling in early, and park in the church parking lot to unload the monsters, and goblins for thier yearly haul.
Where we live now, our nearest neighbors are 1/4 mile in each direction, so in 22 years, we haven't had a single doorbell ringer.
