Yes, this is way off. 250K miles? And a cab to boot? Being fair to the guy would be paying used-car prices.

I would say a #4 car would be worth $30-$35K but you have to deduct for that mileage. You have to.

I know it's romantic to find a well-used, well-maintained high-mileage car that's almost a badge of honor now, but I wouldn't go that high seeing they are out there and it's a cab. Remember you are just paying the entrance fee - and it having dings and dents that were lovingly put there will need sorting and other things - and that's $$$.
