My 2 year old Golden is the same way except she weighs in 10lbs more. Giant puppy around kids, ESPECIALLY if she knows them. On Halloween I leash her so she can just get her head out the front door and leave the wooden door open. She doesn't bark, but gets so excited wiggling around like a puppy, kinda scares the kids that don't know her.
