They would't look like crap if design correctly. Depending on your landscape? Lots of trees, then try and blend that into the environment. Have a couple of windows, and a French door makes a huge difference then the typical barn look. Now were are talking chic studio look You have to build those instead of just going out to home depot, buy it, and plop it down and throwing stuff in there.
