Someone on Pelican once offered hi-res drawings of the 917's chassis - which I promptly printed and hung in my garage! And those drawings made it abundantly clear how exposed the drivers feet and lower legs were to any front-end collision, as they are entirely in front of the front axles! Amazing when you stop to think of it!
