For the last several years, I've used the cheapest, most basic HP Inkjet available, direct from HP. That's the 1112 currently and it's $29 including ink. When the ink runs out, I throw the printer away and buy a new one. It's cheaper than buying replacement cartridges.
The print quality is outstanding.
