I spend all my down time in the garage and he joins (sleeps in the corner) with me there. In the summer he'll sleep in the house all day, and off outside at night. I think he enjoys it as he'll play with the birds.
Winters are pretty mild here and he'll come in when it's too cold for me. I house broke him as a puppy, but I think he likes it outside more.
I run him around 2 + a week as time permits, then he passes out on the water trough. I tried to get him used to a dog house, but he wasn't keen on it at all.
