Well Joie, you post makes as much sense as many of the post in this thread so welcome! Unless you are a spammer, then get lost.
After 3 days of cable TV issues they finally got it fixed, and it was all on their end. One of my "go to" channels is the Science Channel. They have a few good programs but unfortunately a lot of shows that have as much science as the Beverly Hillbillies but that is beside the point. It is on a channel they deemed to be a "switched digital" channel. That just means they can cram more bandwidth into the stream. Because it is switched digital as are many other channels I have to have a "tuning adapter" which the cable company provides. It is a Rube Goldberg setup but it is what it is. The story the technician told me was some genius at the headquarters changed a piece of equipment and all the tuning adapters in the metro area lost switched digital. They finally figured it out, and had to change the firmware and let the tuning adapters download and update to new firmware. It only took 3 days. I do get a $25 credit on my bill.
