You put the rear tire in the plastic bag that Porsche provided and stick it on the back shelf behind the front seats. The other option is stuffing the wife in the backseat and putting the tire, standing vertically, in the front seat.
When I went to the 1983 parade, I had three flat tires that week on what was a less than one-year-old car. I think I've only had two flats in a Porsche since that week.
