That c40 you have is strikingly similar. You'll love the way it rides, I was skeptical but the legend is true. That Merlin is also one of the finest riding bikes made, that or a Seven is on my bucket list.

I missed the Ti bike fad way back when I was racing. Because it was too expensive. I can buy a CADD 3 or 4 frame for 400 bucks and beat the heck out of it. Ti frames were 1500-2000 bucks. When the Merlin came up,, I had to buy it just to try it. I like the way it rides, super smooth but a little soft for my taste. The C40 has that typical Italian riding quality to them ( I rode it this morning but need to monkey with more adjustments). Feels similar to my Look KG 171 but stiffer which I really like. Still, I can feel a little more flex then I like on the rear when I romp on it. I have a Time. That thing is perfect, IMO. Stiff but the ride is just right, smooth enough but rough enough that it reminds me that I am not riding to Starbucks to hang out.
