Everyone is making speculations and determinations on different levels of restoration and reconditioning. This as we know is very slippery slope. Assuming the car runs, very little needs to be done for it to become a “driver,” what ever the hell that means. Who ever buys the car better know what they’re getting themselves into, even low mileage, unmolested cars have issues and need maintenance and money. In its current conditions I would either “restore” it completely or just reassemble and drive it. Piece milling projects can be the biggest waste of a money. Labor hours vary greatly depending on the shop and the quality of work. If you’re looking for a ‘deal’ then don’t bother restoring/reconditioning the car.
