I know I'll probably get flamed for being a heretic. But,... These days pretty engines are generally the stomping grounds of your average rice rockets. We're talking exterior paint matched details, color coordinated wiring and hoses, and polished or chromed pieces. If you leave the block alone, I'd paint or polish the intake manifold and cam housing, then color match plug wires, vac hoses, water hoses and fuel lines, then clean and polish everything else an Wha La!
