I have a confession. I drive a Miata now too. I bought it over the 4th of July weekend and have been enjoying the heck out of it ever since. My wife drove it for the first time yesterday. She couldn't believe how much more precise the shifter is over her 1987 Carrera.
Data point for you. Northern CA car. 1997 NA Miata with 104k miles, 5 speed, leather seats, great shape, bone stock except for stereo and I am the 4th owner. Got this fantastic canyon carver for $2750.
