They were always at night though. There were a lot of places around the lake to park and watch from.
They have since put in jogging trails and restaurants around the lake so there aren't nearly as many parking spots.

When I first moved to OKC one of my buddies had a Mercedes 450 SL and it was a nice day. He said "let's drive over to lake Holder-closer and drive the lake road" road, so I hopped in the passenger seat. We drove around the lake and it was nice to see. I had no idea it was there. It was several years before I found out the lake was really named Lake Overholser.
I just ran over to my partners house to start the computer on a project and on the way back stopped for some bananas at Braum's. There was a man in line buying 3 rolls of sausage meat and some milk. He saw me look at his sausage, WAIT, it ain't like that!
Um, I looked at his grocery order and he said he has two little sausage monkeys at home. His two 3 year old grand daughters were staying with them and each girl had eaten a pound of sausage for breakfast. They are cousins and both love sausage for breakfast evidently. It must be great to be the grandparents and feed em whatever, and let the parents deal with the results.
