All of them change the power, that's been my secret to excellent reheating for years now. Turn the power level down and add a minute or 2. Everything turns out so much better, more evenly heated/reheated, none of the popping and hissing and explosions.

I usually use power setting 7 but have gone down to 5 when reheating a steak if I don't have time to put it in the oven. The key is heating at full power for 30 seconds after that.
