Microwave with inverter technology... what is inverter?
Answer: As I understand it, it's a device that regulates the output power of an incoming electrical current. It allows the Panasonic 'Genius' to lower the level of the microwave's output, in spite of the consistent level (more or less) of the current it's running on. This allows it to apply a continuous microwave 'signal' to your food at a lower level than full power. Standard microwaves simply output a high level of microwave energy and turn themselves on and off to effect a less than full 'power level.' That's pretty crude compared to what Panasonic does. Panasonic's method is gentler.
