toss it in the classifieds with a 4500 ask and see what happens. If you get chirping crickets for 2 days you know you are too high. Is the crank included and magnafluxed/ checked etc? That is a chuck of $ right there.
It's a 77, not a 73S or a '66' family engine (663/664 or 665 are 2.7 RS engines). Yours is not the best engine to make a hot rod out of, demand is rather limited.
That is really all it is, supply and demand.
