Re-releases of many of the Tamiya kits will not have the original decals for example any of the Rothmann cars will have generic designs because of the cigarette ad deal. The price of a re-release will for sure be more than that of a vintage kit. I built the 1/12th 935 when I was a teen and it survived several moves but recently met it's demise and had to be scrapped. I'm look for another kit to build.

I presently have one of the old Pocher kits Alfa Romero Touring car that have the true spoke wheels in which you need to lay each spoke into it's respective hole in the rim. A PITA but the results are stunning. If you have the inclination and patience, these kits are cool!
